Nintendo Announces Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom In-Store Switch Demo

To celebrate the arrival of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom on the Switch next week, Nintendo of Canada has announced the game will be playable at select Game Stop stores around the country.

You'll be able to try out this brand-new entry starring Princess Zelda from 28th September 2024 onwards. Here are the locations where you'll be able to check it out:

Well folks, the weekend is here and it's capping off (heh) a pretty interesting week in the world of Nintendo.

For starters, it's been a big one for the upcoming Switch successor. Many folks online thought that this would be 'the' week that Nintendo would finally reveal the new console, but alas, it wasn't to be. Instead, we got a glimpse at what might be with a series of renders and photos of unknown origin. Are they real? Are they fake? We still don't know for sure, but we're certainly intrigued.

Random: Sora's Addition To Smash Bros. Required An Insane Amount Of Tweaks

Masahiro Sakurai is back with yet another video (though not for much longer, of course), this time taking a look at the kind of feedback he provided on the development of Sora for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Spoiler alert, the video contains a lot of interesting pre-development images and footage of Sora, with Sakurai demonstrating his perfectionism by combing over almost every tweak applied to the character's design and implementation into the game.

Nintendo Indie World & Partner Direct Announced For Tomorrow, August 27th 2024

Here we go! Nintendo has announced that an Indie World showcase will be heading our way tomorrow, Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST / Xpm CEST. Not only that, but it will be immediately followed up by a Partner Direct!

From the announcement, we know the showcase will last roughly 40 minutes, bringing us news and announcements about indie games and third-party titles heading to Switch this year. Nintendo quickly followed up the announcement with clarification that the Nintendo Switch's "successor" won't be making an appearance.

Publisher Atari has announced that it is reviving a once-iconic racing gem for the Nintendo Switch called Fatal Run 2089. Based on the original Fatal Run for the Atari 2600 and 7800, the game features vehicular combat gameplay as you race across 20 tracks located across 4 distinct global regions.

Developed by MNSTR Studio, Fatal Run 2089's debut trailer showcases an apoccalyptic wasteland in which several Mad Max-inspired vehicles race across deadly tracks filled with lasers and explosions, all the while fighting off enemy vehicles and even ferocious boss characters.

Would you battle fearsome monsters for a homemade strawberry pie? If so, you’re in good company. WitchSpring R is a whimsical, story-driven RPG that follows the story of Pieberry, a talented young witch who’s grown up in the woods by herself.

As the name might suggest, Pieberry is a big fan of pies. And strawberries. The story starts off calmly enough, with Pieberry attempting to leave her magical forest home to track down a strawberry pie like the one she ate as a child, all while trying to understand why she was seemingly abandoned by her parents. It spirals from there, with a vast world and vibrant roster of characters, ranging from pudding monsters and lightning lions to witch hunters and celestial beings. It’s a narrative-driven experience, but the gameplay switches from turn-based combat to fun puzzles quickly.

Amazon Says It Plans To Develop Games For The Switch Successor

A new Nintendo generation is on the horizon and it appears the publishing giant Amazon Games could potentially be releasing its titles on the Switch "successor" going forward.

Speaking to IGN recently, Amazon Games CEO Christoph Hartmann mentioned how the Switch had been "a fantastic product" during its lifecycle, and the plan for Amazon in the future is to apparently develop games for Nintendo's next system.

Genshin Impact fans waiting for the game to arrive on the Switch have voiced their feelings and thoughts online today after the game was announced for another platform at Gamescom Opening Night Live.

This open-world action RPG adventure is now on its way to the Xbox this November, and yet there are still no updates about the Nintendo version, which was originally confirmed in 2020 - with a trailer at the time noting how it was "coming soon" to the hybrid platform.

We were more than a bit surprised when Sid Meier's Civilization VII was confirmed to be coming to Switch at Summer Game Fest 2024. And at Gamescom, we found out when we can expect to play the game on all consoles — 11th February 2025.

Debuting alongside the release date was the first-look at the gameplay, nd it looks absolutely stunning. Of course, we don't have Switch footage yet — and we're sort of staggered that they'll be able to squeeze the game onto the console — but hopefully it'll look nice on the hybrid console. Well, we'll find out early next year.

We know — Gamescom hasn't even started yet and we're already looking ahead to the next gaming convention, PAX West 2024. With Nintendo in attendance, fans have been looking forward to seeing what the Big N is bringing to the show.

And now, Nintendo has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Super Mario Party Jamboree will be playable at the show in Seattle. This will be the first playable public demo for both of these games, which were announced at the June 2024 Nintendo Direct.
